        Garlic capsules

        Really pleased with these capsules. I’m not a lover of raw garlic taste or smell but I wanted the benefits so this is a quick, easy, painless way to go. Good quality, good price and thankfully they never repeat on me which is what I was worried about! I wasn’t sure how I’d get on with them but these are great. So pleased I tried them out. An inexpensive way to add towards maintaining good health.

        Genuinely has improved my windy symptoms of my gut!

        I’ve been taking these every morning and now I’m going to take them before lunch as well because they have genuinely improved the amount and intensity of the wind my gut produces! I didn’t seem to be helping me to recover from a stomach bug I had in the start of the year, which nothing else really worked for, convenient for pouring into a drink or taking as a capsule (I do drink in morning for speed of absorption)

        What can you not take these with? Im currently taking - ALA, NAC, turmeric ginger & black pepper, berberine, multi vit and cinnamon and looking into the insitol too and also taking mini pill and sertraline?

        While each individual product should cause no issues with your medication, we do not know if that may be different when combining so many products. Your GP would be best placed to advise you in this instance.

        It is worth noting that you should not take charcoal at the same time as any other supplements or medication, as it may reduce their effectiveness by adsorbing certain ingredients. A gap of at least 2 hours is recommended.

        I'm breastfeeding a 2 year old. Is it safe to you use the detox bundle while breast feeding? I've read previously that it is not recommended to do an intense detox as toxins can find their way into the milk but I wondered if the charcoal's function to absorb and remove the toxins might reduce this possible side effect? Thanks.

        Hi Emily, The Cranberry, Charcoal and Hemp Seed Oil should be fine to take while breastfeeding, but we would recommend you double check with your health visitor or GP who are better acquainted with your particular circumstances. The Garlic capsules are high-strength and may affect the flavour of your breastmilk and subsequently, your babies want to feed. We would recommend you do not take it for now. Do not take charcoal at the same time as any other supplements or medication as it may reduce their effectiveness by adsorbing certain ingredients.         Yes, this supplement will be just as effective if you open the capsules. Just twist the capsules open and mix the contents with a drink or food. This isn't formulated to dissolve like a soluble supplement, so you may prefer to mix it into something thick like a smoothie or soup so that it doesn't settle at the bottom.

        There are no 'one-size-fits all' recommendations but we would suggest trying 2 or 3 capsules at a time to see what effect it has on your symptoms. To deal with trapped wind, it's usually best to take the charcoal when you first notice discomfort developing after you have eaten.

        You are right to be cautious, as charcoal will trap and stop you absorbing certain nutrients from food as well as other supplement and prescription medicines. Do not take charcoal supplements within 4 hours of medicines, and not within 2 hours of food or food supplements. If you are taking any prescription medicines, do not take charcoal without first talking to your doctor or pharmacist.
