Cautions
Biotin causes inaccurate results in several blood tests. Stop taking your biotin supplement at least 3 days before any of these blood tests. If this is not possible, it is essential to inform your doctor that you have been taking Biotin.

- Troponin Tests: Biotin interference may affect troponin tests used to diagnose heart attacks by causing falsely elevated results.
- Hormone Tests (e.g., FSH, LH): Tests measuring hormones like follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) may be affected by biotin supplementation.
- Vitamin D Tests: Some assays for vitamin D measurement use biotinylated antibodies, potentially leading to inaccurate results.
