Why has the serving size reduced so we have to take 4 capsules instead of 2?I have my bottle from 2024And all the vitaminC, E, B2 etc.. Were double the amount when taken only 2 capsules. Now it's half of that for 2 capsules?

The formula was changed about 18 months ago after feedback from customers wanting a higher collagen content. As it was not possible to fit more collagen inside an already full capsule, the decision was taken to change the serving size to 2-4 capsules. To avoid providing too much of the other ingredients in a 4-capsule serving, these subsequently had to be reduced. Many of our long-term customers still take 2 capsules and have not reported any loss in benefit.

Is this safe to take while pregnant?

This product is not recommended for use while pregnant. If you would like to take collagen during pregnancy, please look at the Bovine Collagen Powder.

I see that the quantity of Vit C has been reduced from 60mg to 20mg (for 2 capsules) is this really enough to allow the collagen to be absorbed by the body?

While Vitamin C is essential for collagen production, it does not directly influence collagen absorption. The body needs Vitamin C to help synthesise collagen, but the absorption of collagen peptides into the bloodstream is a separate process. There's no specific ratio of collagen to Vitamin C needed for absorption.

Are you able to tell me the calorie content please?

I'm afraid this product is not tested for its calorie content.

Is this foot for joint pain

Hemp Seed Oil contains omegas 3, 6 and 9, and is a natural anti-inflammatory. For this reason, many of our customers take it to help with joint pain caused by inflammation.

Hi, are these ok to take whilst on Mounjaro?

While there should be no issue taking probiotics with Mounjaro, we do strongly recommend you check with your GP prior to starting any new supplement, when you are already taking medication.

Does it contain protein and how much ?

Collagen is approximately 90% protein, so although the protein amount is not specifically tested for, each 2 capsule serving will provide approximately 1048.5mg of protein.

Do these have a coating or something in them so they survive the gut alive? I also see many others on the market that co tain more CFUs what research has been carried out as these amounts seem low in comparison.

Our 45 billion CFU count is similar to the majority of probiotics supplements offered online, although a few products contain more and many contain less CFU than our product. We chose our selection of probiotics to provide a broad range of well-researched strains because the choice of strains tends to have more effect than simply the absolute amount in total. We have also selected the most robust culture strains that are proven able to survive stomach acid and reach the gut alive.So far, no clinical research has been able to establish an ideal dose - or a minimum effective dose - of probiotics. This is partly because any individual probiotic can be taken for a wide variety of benefits, and the ideal dose may be different for each set of outcomes. Each individual has a different microbiome in their gut already, so the impact of adding probiotics will vary from one person to another. The dosage of probiotics is just one of many variables, which also include what you eat or drink with your supplement, the temperature of your food, your genetic make-up, any medical conditions you may have, medications you take and many more variables.Ultimately, whether this dosage is satisfactory for you personally will depend on the health benefits you are hoping to achieve. It will also depend on many other factors relating to your lifestyle and current state of health.

How do you decide how many capsules to take and what is the recommended dose

You can take 2 to 4 capsules daily. If you are new to taking it you may want to start with 2 and see how you get on with the first bottle, and then if you feel it necessary you can increase your intake. There is no RDA/NRV for collagen.

Could you tell me the difference please between the advanced formula with the 9 powerful nutrients and the original, as in the description I can not see any different ingredients.

The only change has been to the quantities. To accommodate more collagen per capsule, there has been a slight reduction in the other ingredients.

Is your Bio Cultures stomach acid resistant?

We don't use acid-resistant capsules for our Bio Cultures. However, this product has been specifically formulated with acid resistance in mind with the vast majority of strains and species used being considered intrinsically resistant to stomach acid to ensure they reach the intestine.

I would like to know why you have chosen the specific strains for this product?

The specific strains of probiotic bacteria in our Bio Cultures were chosen for their power to build and maintain flora diversity within the gut. They are robust strains that can survive at room temperature to give you a high-strength capsule filled with viable colony forming units (live bacteria) that are not at risk of dying if they get exposed to temperature changes. They are a broad-spectrum of strains for general health, all known to help restore healthy gut flora which can be harmed by antibiotics, infection, stress, travel or poor nutrition. The majority of your immune system is in your gut and digestive system, so boosting this is vital to prevent bloating, constipation, reduce parasites and provide immune support. If you are looking for probiotics that will target a more specific purpose, we do have alternative probiotic supplements. Good stuff!
I felt a difference very quickly, using this collagen has helped my knees, after a week or 2, I'm not feeling as sore when standing from a sedentary position! Now I'm starting to see a difference in my skin too. These capsules are large but personally, I find them easy to swallow as there is absolutely no taste, they are also very easy on the stomach(which I have problems with) I'm very happy with them.

I see that the quantity of Vit C has been reduced from 60mg to 20mg (for 2 capsules) is this really enough to allow the collagen to be absorbed by the body?

While Vitamin C is essential for collagen production, it does not directly influence collagen absorption. The body needs Vitamin C to help synthesise collagen, but the absorption of collagen peptides into the bloodstream is a separate process. There's no specific ratio of collagen to Vitamin C needed for absorption.

Do these have a coating or something in them so they survive the gut alive? I also see many others on the market that co tain more CFUs what research has been carried out as these amounts seem low in comparison.

Our 45 billion CFU count is similar to the majority of probiotics supplements offered online, although a few products contain more and many contain less CFU than our product. We chose our selection of probiotics to provide a broad range of well-researched strains because the choice of strains tends to have more effect than simply the absolute amount in total. We have also selected the most robust culture strains that are proven able to survive stomach acid and reach the gut alive.
So far, no clinical research has been able to establish an ideal dose - or a minimum effective dose - of probiotics. This is partly because any individual probiotic can be taken for a wide variety of benefits, and the ideal dose may be different for each set of outcomes. Each individual has a different microbiome in their gut already, so the impact of adding probiotics will vary from one person to another. The dosage of probiotics is just one of many variables, which also include what you eat or drink with your supplement, the temperature of your food, your genetic make-up, any medical conditions you may have, medications you take and many more variables.
Ultimately, whether this dosage is satisfactory for you personally will depend on the health benefits you are hoping to achieve. It will also depend on many other factors relating to your lifestyle and current state of health.

You can take 2 to 4 capsules daily. If you are new to taking it you may want to start with 2 and see how you get on with the first bottle, and then if you feel it necessary you can increase your intake. There is no RDA/NRV for collagen.

The only change has been to the quantities. To accommodate more collagen per capsule, there has been a slight reduction in the other ingredients.

The specific strains of probiotic bacteria in our Bio Cultures were chosen for their power to build and maintain flora diversity within the gut. They are robust strains that can survive at room temperature to give you a high-strength capsule filled with viable colony forming units (live bacteria) that are not at risk of dying if they get exposed to temperature changes. They are a broad-spectrum of strains for general health, all known to help restore healthy gut flora which can be harmed by antibiotics, infection, stress, travel or poor nutrition. The majority of your immune system is in your gut and digestive system, so boosting this is vital to prevent bloating, constipation, reduce parasites and provide immune support. If you are looking for probiotics that will target a more specific purpose, we do have alternative probiotic supplements. There have been various studies carried out which have found different results when it comes to taking probiotics and whether it's best to take them on an empty stomach, or with food, and with which types of food. Therefore the jury is still out on what is best. Whilst we recommend taking our Bio Cultures with food, and in particular with prebiotic foods, you can really choose what works best for you.

We have put the probiotics into a smaller capsule than usualy, to help make this easier. If you have difficulty swallowing capsules, try chewing a piece of bread and using this to push the capsule down.
