    Introducing any new supplement runs the risk of stomach upset in those new to taking it, which is why taking with food is recommended as this can help reduce the risk, however, Ashwagandha is generally well tolerated by most people. Those that are pregnant should avoid taking it. People with autoimmune diseases and pre-existing conditions should take Ashwagandha only under professional advice.

    Would you recommend cycling ashwaganda as it can he harsh on the liver long term ?

    There are differing opinions on whether or not to 'cycle' Ashwagandha. Some people do take it regularly, however, there has been very little research done on long-term use. It can be beneficial to take periodic breaks (2-4 weeks every 6-12 weeks is a common recommendation) to avoid building up a tolerance which may reduce its efficacy.

    Why is your Maca root now two capsules a day instead of one?

    We have recently changed our Maca Root formula. Taking on board customer feedback, we have increased the serving size from 1 to 2 capsules. We have also removed the bulking agent and are now using Organic Maca Root to provide a cleaner supplement, which enabled us to increase the amount of Maca per capsule up to 5500mg (comppared to the previous 4000mg). If you find that one capsule a day works for you, there is no need to increase to two.

    Our Maca Root is made from a very high strength extract which contains around a tenth of the calories you would get form eating raw maca root. In such comparatively low doses it's unlikely to contribute to weight gain.
